Palestine and Israel – A Bloody Chapter in Human History

By: Arshad Ahmad Shahbaz-Darmstadt-Germany

The land of Palestine, where once the dust of prophets’ feet carried fragrance, has now been bathed in blood. This is not just a piece of land; it is a region that for centuries embodied peace, worship, and civilization.

Today, the same land witnesses fire, bullets, and tears raining down. This is not merely a territorial conflict—it is a war for the survival of a nation, its identity, and the future of its children.

After the fall of the Ottoman Caliphate, when Palestine came under British occupation, a new seed of oppression was sown through the Balfour Declaration (1917). Britain made a promise to a people who had no claim over the land. As a result, not only were Palestinians stripped of their land, but deliberate attempts were made to erase their identity—while the world remained a silent spectator.

With the establishment of Israel in 1948, millions of Palestinians were forcibly expelled from their homes. Hundreds of villages were razed to the ground. Mothers were left mourning over the corpses of their children, and smiling faces were replaced with those drenched in blood.

When we look into the streets of Gaza today, we see fragments of bombs instead of toys, ruins where schools once stood, and lifeless bodies scattered around.

In the recent (2023-2025) war more than 35,000 Palestinians have been martyred thousands of them innocent children and defenseless mothers.

These were children who wanted to go to school, mothers who wished to bake bread for their families, and elders who longed to breathe their last in peace—yet bombs were dropped on them.

Has the message of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) of Medina been confined only to mosques? Can the inheritors of the Islamic world, who speak of the sanctity of the Kaaba, not hear the cries of Al-Aqsa? Does the bloodshed in the shadow of Baitul-Muqadas not shake their hearts?

The world’s conscience is either silent or has turned blind and deaf.

The key to Palestine’s liberation does not lie with the United Nations or Western powers. The solution lies solely in the unity, solidarity, and practical action of the Muslim Ummah.

Immediately sever all trade and diplomatic relations with Israel.

Expose arms-supplying nations on global platforms.

Launch coordinated efforts on medical, humanitarian, and media fronts.

Provide financial aid to Palestinians and establish a united system of international pressure.

A Call to Leadership Saudi Arabia, the spiritual heart of the Muslim world, must take a leading role in this crisis. If we ignore the cries of Gaza today, this fire will soon spread to Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, and Indonesia.

This is not just Palestine’s issue—it is a test of the Ummah’s dignity.

Standing with Palestine today is like standing with Hazrat Hussain RA- (May Allah be pleased with him) in Karbala. True faith is measured by supporting the oppressed in every era.

This is the time for the pen, the stride, and the heart to unite; for the songs of sincerity, sacrifice, and honor to resonate — and choosing silence is like refusing balm to heal those wounds.

Last but not least, with all our sincere efforts — individually as well as collectively, we should always be focused on the singular remedy the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us  for the trials of the latter days—a truth often emphasized by Muslim Saints before and I reiterate now.

In a profound prophecy about this era, he foretold that Gog and Magog will dominate the earth, rising in relentless waves until their influence engulfs the entire world. When this occurs, the Messiah will appear, and though he and his followers may strive to resist these forces through confrontation, Allah will reveal to him:

لا يدان بقتالهم

No human—not even you—has been granted the strength to oppose these nations of Our creation. There is but one refuge: retreat to the mountain ie the Holy Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) and devote yourselves to prayer. Only through this spiritual weapon can they be subdued.
