Unfortunately, the genuine character of Pakistan’s constitution from 1973 has now been significantly twisted. The so-called political class and establishment have distorted the constitution for their own ends to the point where it, like the other two, is nearing the end. The military Generals like Zia and Musharaf used it and as well the SC for respective objectives to prolong their rules. On the other hand now Field Martial Asim Munir is also carrying on his predecessors’ legacy of controlling the nation and national political public hegemony.

By using the political elite, the establishment distort the national solidarity and unit. As usual, a certain political elite has taken control of the nation’s political and administrative structures, sacrificing public opinion and desires for their own interests. They have also supported the establishment in a particular social and political surgery.  The current 27th constitutional amendment is set against the backdrop of politicians’ ‘YES BOSS’ slogans. The vested interests of the political elite typically use such amendments in the Constitution to protect their corruption, personal political, and financial interests, allegedly at the behest of the establishment.

Apparently, those who shout corruption-free slogans are proving to be the most corrupt. Regrettably, corruption reigns everywhere is all major institution of the Country. The judiciary, police, army and further financial system, and this corruption system are also being given legal protection through amendments and legislations. President’s (Zardari) lifetime exemption is its worst example. In the current circumstances, Government’s unbridled legislation will prove extremely harmful to the Pakistan. A particular group has become so powerful and influential through ambiguous laws and amendments that equality, justice, the legal system, and the public’s fundamental rights are vanishing throughout the nation.

The judiciary’s identity and authority have been flagrantly breached by the 27th Amendment to the Constitution. Furthermore, the judiciary, which was once responsible for upholding the constitution and fundamental human rights, is now a spectacle in the hands of the powerful. However, the recent IMF investigation has revealed numerous startling facts about the nation’s billion-dollar financial malfeasance. The two most corrupt institutions in Pakistan are the police and the judiciary. People are trying to flee the country because they are tired of the situation, but the FIA is illegally dumping persons at the airports, which is making people more hateful.

Sadly, neither the political elite nor their masters care about or are interested in finding solutions to the problems and challenges faced by the average person. The current state of affairs seems to indicate that the nation is about to undergo a significant revolution or shift, and that this status quo and the entire nation will be overtaken by a small push. The nation cannot afford more upheaval, thus the establishment and present leaders should respond sensibly. Respect for the desires and opinions of the general population is both the reality and the answer to today’s issues.
