The unexpected results of the elections held on February 8th demonstrate that Pakistan is not a nation that genuinely adheres to hegemonic modern democratic ideals, but rather one that is completely devoid of democratic traditions. The results of the elections earlier since 1947 have also been called into question because to the unusual and illegal role played by the establishment, electoral corruption, systemic high jacking, and the exploitation of numerous state ministries. Sadly, because the powerful classes chose the government by dubious means and against preferences of the people, the nation will continue to be denied the bind¬ing advantages of true democracy long into the future.

Furthermore, the 1973 Constitution was overthrown, and the Imran regime’s fall coincides with its demise. The explication and growth of constitutional provisions is merely a catchphrase, but the reality is truly inscrutable. Like in the halls of power, the constitution is merely a puppet. They are able to adjust, change, and practice in tandem with their own goals. Tragically, the common Pakistani is not protected by any of the laws; yet, the governing class and the privileged political elite are. Despite being the guardian of the constitution, the Supreme Court has completely failed to uphold the law, including the honest interpretation of the document.

The worst conditions that Pakistan is currently experiencing are obviously a reflection of the establishment’s preferences and the egotism of the so-called politicians. Their subpar performance is undermining the integrity, dignity, and reputation of the nation. The country’s economy is in danger of collapsing. However, a certain political class that has dominated the nation’s politics for 75 years is unwilling to take ownership of their actions. They are merely taking advantage of the privileges and placing some of the burden of accountability solely on the PTI government. Without a doubt, PTI capitalized on the current political unrest, effectively utilizing the situation to their advantage and growing their support base, which is also evident in the outcomes of the most recent elections.

Allegedly, establishment used the illegal tactics to put the PTI out particularly from the electoral politics during election engineering of the last GENERAL elections. PTI and Imran Khan are still not accepted as facts by the system. However, PTI is asserting that it is the representative political force of the vast majority of Pakistanis. However, the establishment is making every effort to ignore the PTI and impose its own brand of limited democracy. As a result, the establishment and newly chosen PDM regime have not yet succeeded in winning over the public support. The establishment is now facing a huge challenge because of this.

Certainly, the newly chosen regime is ill-prepared for the impending financial crisis, which will exacerbate poverty, especially in light of the upcoming IMF program.  No doubt to combat these awful situations a leader having the favour of the majority of the Pakistanis is need of the time.  Under his leadership, the populace will stand with him and make any sacrifice imaginable in order to advance the nation, which is desperately needed at this time. The king who assumed power via deceit and illegitimacy can never be accepted by the populace. If not, the nation may suffer permanent harm as it descends into extreme political, social, and economic anarchy.
