Pakistan came into being in August 1947 with the population of seventy million Muslims and non-Muslims. Jinnah’s cabinet was solely a bunch of peace, resilience and harmony. Under the Act of 1935 Mr. Jinnah, the most faithful personality served as the first Governor General of Pakistan whole heartedly and with a rational apparition. He wanted to transform Pakistanis into a progressive nation. Through his messages and speeches he shared his vision as follows:

I may here say that those who unwisely think that they can undo Pakistan are sadly mistaken. Nothing on earth now will succeed in touching Pakistan, whose roots are now truly and deeply laid… I, therefore, call upon every Muslim, man and woman, in Pakistan to fortify themselves against their present sorrows for the establishment of their national State for which they have already suffered and sacrificed so much, and which it is now for them to build up… (August 24, 1947).

Concerning the significance of the new born state of Pakistan He more regarded:

Let us now plan to build and reconstruct and regenerate our great nation and our sovereign State of Pakistan which, you know, is not only the biggest Muslim State in the world but the fifth biggest sovereign State in the world. Now it is the time, chance and opportunity for every Mussalman to make his or her fullest and best contribution and make the greatest sacrifice and work ceaselessly in the service of our nation and make Pakistan one of the greatest nations of the world. (August 31, 1947)

In a message to the nation particularly to the youth He gave a task:

Pakistan is proud of her youth, particularly the students who have always been in the forefront in the hour of trial and need. You are the nation builders of tomorrow and you must fully equip yourself by discipline, education and training for the arduous task lying ahead of you. You must realise the magnitude of your responsibility and be ready to bear it… (October 31, 1947)

Mr. Jinnah’s visionary messages and statements are enough to make Pakistan enlightened and progressive. The only way out of Pakistan’s current crisis is to follow the vision of Jinnah with a spirit of moderation and innovation. Strengthening the norms of a true democracy in Pakistan and ensuring the rule of law is the need of the time.
