Building Muscle After 50 Comes Down To This
By Andrew Jones
At 63, I thought I was strong, capable and independent.
But after I fell, my life changed completely.
Last January, I was moving my plants in from the garden when I slipped on some black ice, slamming my hip onto the decking. Pain shot through my whole body. I lay there writhing in agony, trying to catch my breath.
And when I tried to push myself back up…I just couldn’t.
My arms were trembling. My legs buckled underneath me. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t push myself back up. I was trapped. Helpless, humiliated and stuck in the freezing cold.
My husband found me 4 hours later. He rushed me to hospital, where the doctor said I’d completely broken my hip. The months that followed terrified me to my core.
After two surgeries, I had to rely on my husband for everything: feeding me, clothing me, bathing me. Even helping me go to the bathroom. I felt like a burden. So I tried everything to get stronger.
Complicated exercises, extreme diets. I even joined a fitness class at my local gym. But nothing worked. In fact, I felt like I was getting weaker by the day. I was almost ready to give up completely when my husband showed me a short video from David Starr.
He’s a sports coach and renowned Olympic nutritionist. Who’s helped thousands of Brits rebuild their strength, confidence and independence after 60. In the video, he explained something I’d never heard before: “After 50, you lose a third of your muscle every 10 years.” Fortunately, David Starr has an answer.
A simple 30 second “morning routine”. That anybody can do at home to strengthen their body and regain their independence. All without extreme workouts or complicated diets. Of course, I was sceptical. But I had nothing to lose. Now, three months later, the difference is incredible.
I have a firm grip on the shopping when I bring it in. I’ve got energy to garden for hours without aching the next day. My arms and legs feel firmer. And most importantly? I’m not scared of falling again. Because I know I’ll be able to get myself back up.
So if you’ve over 60 and you’ve had a moment where your body wasn’t strong enough, then please watch this video.
It’s free, short and might just change everything like it did for me.
